چکیده

The proposed revisions to the ANSI Z136, ICNIRP, and IEC 60825-1 laser exposure limits for multiple pulse ocular exposure for wavelengths from 400 to 1400 nm are examined for pulse durations tp tmin (Ti). The three rules that are defined to be applied for multiple pulse exposures (or for classification for IEC 60825-1) are compared to identify criteria for which one of the rules is the critical one, i.e., the rule that limits the energy per pulse for a given exposure or product emission. Such a comparison can help to simplify a safety analysis, but also guide the design of systems for which the output is to be maximized yet still be classified as a Class 1 or Class 2 laser system. Wavelength dependence of ocular damage thresholds in the near-ir to far-ir transition region: proposed revisions to MPES.

This report summarizes the results of a series of infrared (IR) laser-induced ocular damage studies conducted over the past decade. The studies examined retinal, lens, and corneal effects of laser exposures in the near-IR to far-IR transition region (wavelengths from 1.3-1.4 mum with exposure durations ranging from Q-switched to continuous wave). The corneal and retinal damage thresholds are ta...

شتاب الکترون در برهم‌کنش با پالس لیزری نامتقارن

In this paper, electron acceleration in the field of laser pulse is investigated. To limit the interaction region for electron pulse, which is required for acceleration, a new method is presented based on the injection of electron on temporal peak of the laser pulse. In this method, the electron is provided by a plasma source and is steered inside the laser field by utilizing the magnetic field...

Laser-induced retinal damage threshold for repetitive-pulse exposure to 100-μs pulses.

The laser-induced retinal injury thresholds for repetitive-pulse exposures to 100-μs-duration pulses at a wavelength of 532 nm have been determined for exposures of up to 1000 pulses in an in vivo model. The ED50 was measured for pulse repetition frequencies of 50 and 1000 Hz. Exposures to collimated beams producing a minimal retinal beam spot and to divergent beams producing a 100-μm-diameter ...

ارزیابی پرتوهای فرابنفش لامپ‌های کم‌مصرف از نوع فلورسنت فشرده

Iranians are replacing traditional incandescent lamps with Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs), because they use about a quarter of the power of incandescent lamps and their lifecycle is up to ten times longer. Government encourages public to use CFLs too, for saving energy and reducing carbon dioxide emissions. Small amounts of mercury are used in CFLs, released to the environment if they are bro...

Influence of Interface Thermal Resistance on Relaxation Dynamics of Metal-Dielectric Nanocomposite Materials under Ultrafast Pulse Laser Excitation

Nanocomposite materials, including noble metal nanoparticles embedded in a dielectric host medium, are interesting because of their optical properties linked to surface plasmon resonance phenomena. For studding of nonlinear optical properties and/or energy transfer process, these materials may be excited by ultrashort pulse laser with a temporal width varying from some femtoseconds to some hund...
